MFW Weekly Update - The Letter N!

This week we learned that God Takes Good Care of Us.  We learned about animal homes, birds, nests, bear dens, and the letter N.

The kids made birds nests out of gluten free playdough and also out of gluten free marshmallow krispie treats.  For dessert we made eggs out of cocount cream, too.  I took pictures of the Chocolate Coconut Cream eggs sitting in the krispie treat eggs, but there was really no way to edit the image to make it look decent.  No matter what I did it still looked like rabbit poop!  Ick!

Book of the Week

A House Is a House for Me
Love it.  It takes you through animals and objects and their respective homes in a lyrical rhyming canter.  Educational and entertaining.  I'm so thankful to be able to get these older books recommended by the My Father's World curriculums.  Now this one is really not that old (1978), actually quite new with respect to some of the books we have been reading, but I still found it to be rich in the like of good literature.  If you haven't been to the children's library lately, I can assure you that there is quite a bit of fluff there.  In the words of Gru, "A two year old could have written this!"  Or even worse, an author with an agenda other than education and entertainment.

Oh news alert!  My Father's World now offers a literature pack for Kindergarten!  I can't wait for it to arrive.
